When I was a teenager, I gave my dad a shirt that he totally loved. But I saw that shirt sitting in his closet, not worn. Dad absolutely loved the shirt every single time! The next year I drove to a neighboring town that was known for pinenuts and purchased him one and a half pounds of pinenuts. (Now, you can buy pinenuts and many other interesting things at Trader Joe’s, but I digress.)
